Used 2019 Pillar HPLD

The model HPLD is a horizontal point to point bore and Lock Dowell insertion machining center. It is designed to CNC position the spindle, bore a hole, then CNC position and insert the Lock Dowel hardware

A 15" industrial color touchscreen is used to interface between the operator and the machines computer to write and store programs.

The 15" touchscreen monitor makes viewing the specific parameters of a program very easy

HPLD SPINDLE CARRIAGE CONFIGURATION

The machine is equipped with one 3 HP High Frequency 18,000 RPM

Direct Drive Router Spindle mounted onto a 1/2" machined aluminum

surface. This spindle will drill the holes for the Channel Lock 20 mm

barbed post as well as the 8 mm Spring Pin.

All wiring to the carriage is carried in an enclosed E Track to prevent

damage to critical components.

The 18,000 RPM spindle speed guarantees the boring bit concentricity,

ensuring an accurate hole size. The high RPM also allows for rapid plunge

boring to be accomplished without losing the integrity of the boring

surface.

CHANNEL LOCK 20MM BARBED POST

This inserter can insert the Channel Lock 20 mm Barbed post. The inserter is on the CNC carriage and follows the drill through its operation and inserts the Lock Dowel into the holes. A corresponding bowl that will singulate the clips will work in tandem with the inserter unit.

Note: This insertion unit is purchased from a Lock Dowel affiliate, manufactured in China then incorporated into the HPLD. Pillar Machine retrofits the insertion units with its own American sourced electronics. This allows us to service and support properly once the machine is in the field.

SPRING PIN INSERTER

This inserter drives the spring pin into 8mm holes when lock Dowel spring pin system is being used. A corresponding bowl that will singulate the clips will work in tandem with the inserter unit.
